Thanks to their very supportive and loyal fans, Barats & Bereta’s digital online shorts have gotten over 100 Million views online, and helped B&B to consistently remain one of You Tube’s most-subscribed channels.
B&B are currently developing a new half hour original comedy pilot, and their first live tour, which they are actively crafting at the legendary UCB Theater in Hollywood.
In 2008, B&B wrote and created a sitcom pilot, entitled PRE-MATURE, for NBC Universal, and set up their first feature project with Relativity Media. The feature, entitled THE GOOD WORD, is based on their two popular Missionary characters, and B&B are actively developing the script.
In 2007, B&B created, starred in, executive produced, directed, and edited a sketch comedy pilot entitled THIS IS CULDESAC for NBC Universal. Their online short, Cubicle Wars, also took home a Best in Show Gold ADDY award.
In 2006, B&B landed their first major tv deal, an overall development deal with NBC Universal, and were featured in Variety’s well respected Comedy Impact List.
Over the course of their still young career, B&B have had the opportunity to be guest speakers at several media events, such as Forbes annual MEET Forum, where they spoke about online content, and had the honor of being amongst special guest speakers such as YouTube founder, Chad Hurley, and media mogul Barry Diller. They have also performed live at comedy festivals such as the recent San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival, and the UCB Anniversary Show, and have written, directed, and starred in select web projects for major companies such as Nestle and Universal Pictures.
B&B began collaborating in 2003 at Gonzaga University where they were active in the theater department, broadcasting department, and led the school's improv comedy troupe. While in school, B&B won the Brickwall Amateur Comedy Competition with their two-man stand up routine, and began making short videos to amuse their friends, which they have been doing ever since.
Born and raised in Idaho and Montana, respectively, B&B are now based out of Los Angeles and can be found performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade and ComedySportz theaters.
